How to read electronic circuits
The main purpose of the fundamental electronic circuit to a sufficient clarity and completeness reflect the interconnections between the individual components of the device (the device). The concept is used for the study of systems of automation, electronic equipment production and its proper operation. Ability to read such scheme allows to understand the operating principle of the system and add to it if necessary, additions, clarifications or changes.
Instruction how to read electronic circuits
Start reading concept with a general acquaintance with it and with the list of items included in the structure of the product. Locate the scheme, each of the elements, understand their relative position. Discover also all the explanatory notes, which are attached to the electronic circuit.
Decide on the power supply system scheme, winding magnetic contactors, relays and solenoids (if available). Look for all the power supply and determine the type of current for each of them, the parameters of voltage, phasing (in AC circuits) and the polarity (in DC). Compare the data with the nominal data of the equipment specified in the technical documentation.
Look for the scheme switching elements and protection devices. These include fuses, automatic machines, the overcurrent relay, and so on. According to the inscriptions on the concept, notes, and tables, annexed to the scheme, define the protection zone of each of these elements.
Examine the circuit power consumers (the electric motor, magnetic starter, etc windings). Start with a focused analysis of the basic appliance, which is usually an electric motor (if present in the product). Ensure that all circuit elements from one pole to another. Note for all contacts, resistors and diodes included in the appliance, chain.
Rate the purpose of each of these elements. It is convenient to assume that this element (resistor, diode, capacitor) in the scheme is not by asking: "What effect will the removal of the scheme of this element?"
Reading the electronic circuit, always start from the goal, which is in front of you. Usually the study of the concept aims to identify errors in the installation, determine the cause of device failure, to determine the elements that can cause system failures.
