How to bake baursaks
Baursaks are the national dish of many Muslim peoples of Asia: the Tatars, Kazakhs, Uzbeks and others. Originally they were nomads bread, simple and quick to prepare. But over time it baursak becomes an integral part of the festive table. Try to bake a real Kazakh baursaks - it is delicious.
You will need:
flour - 4 cups; dry yeast - 2 tablespoons; milk - 2 cups; salt - 1/2 teaspoon; sugar - 2 tablespoons; vegetable oil - 3 cups.
Instruction how to bake baursaks
Heat 1 cup a little milk and sprinkle in it sugar and yeast. Add 1 cup of flour, mix well and put the resulting brew fit for half an hour. When cracks appear on it, and it shall fade a bit - you can knead the dough.
Sift the remaining flour in a bowl, mix with salt, pour the brew into it and remaining warmed milk. Knead the dough, kneaded for a long time - until it stops sticking to your hands. At the end, pour in the palm of 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and knead the dough. Spread it on top of the oil and place in a bowl fit, covered with a clean towel for 45-50 minutes.
Punch coming up the dough and let it go again. After that, roll the cake on the table from the dough thickness of not more than 1 cm. Cut a small square pieces and leave it on the table for 10-15 minutes. You can cut glass round baursaks on holidays so it is accepted. Then pour into a cauldron cooking oil and let it boil. Lower baursaks parties in the cauldron and fry until golden brown on medium heat, stirring with a slotted spoon. You can put in a colander ready baursaks that drained excess oil.
Fold ready baursaks warm in a large deep dish slide, sprinkling with powdered sugar. Serve them for the festive tea. Do not use instead of bread sprinkled with a first, second dishes and fermented milk drinks. Remaining after eating cold baursaks will be soft the next day, if you put them in a sealed container or plastic bag.
