How to cook herring with hot croutons
Croutons - common name of various kinds of bread fried in butter. They belong to the hot appetizers. Hot herring with croutons can be prepared not only for the holiday, but every day as a supplement to lunch or dinner.
You will need:
2 pcs. salted herring; 1 liter of milk; 4 eggs; 1 tbsp. l mustard; 2 tbsp vegetable oil; 1 loaf of white bread; 1 lemon; parsley and dill.
Instruction how to cook hot herring with croutons
First rinse with salt herring several times under cold running water. Then put it in a small saucepan, pour the milk to room temperature and soak in it for thirty to forty five minutes. After time, remove the fish from the milk, gently pat dry with a paper towel or napkin.
Then take a sharp knife and cleaned fish fillets on a clean, gently remove the skin, remove all small vertebrates and bones, cut into small pieces. Be sure to keep the milk and eggs.
Boil hard boiled eggs, cool in cold water and clean. Separate the yolks and chop them with a fork. Then carefully rub in a small platter with mustard, gradually add the vegetable oil, as well as powdered milk and eggs, all stir.
