Three weeks of the competition includes 2 days of rest, which are often used to translate the athletes at the venue of the next phase of the launch. Grand Tour 2012, which will be the length of 3479 km, will start on 30 July in the Belgian city of Liege, and will take place on the territory of the three states. It comprises 20 stages and the prologue - an individual race against time with a separate start. It will be held at the center of Liege. Its length is 6.1 km, the terrain is flat and has a lot of straight sections. Total Tour 2012 includes 4 Mid, 5 mountain stages, and 9 with the flat terrain. There are 2 individual races with separate start, the total length will be 96.1 km. The first two stages will be held on the territory of Belgium.
